William M. Lee, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery

Prior to joining Keck’s faculty in 2009, Dr. Lee completed his subspecialty fellowship training at USC and maintains American Board of Surgery certification in Vascular Surgery. He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 1998 from Stanford University, and completed his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 2002. Dr. Lee went on to complete his general surgery residency in Boston at the Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2017. Dr. Lee has continued refining his surgical skills and knowledge by focusing on venous disorders during a sabbatical at the RANE Center outside of Jackson, Mississippi. He excels in varicose vein ablation, sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy, venous angioplasty and stenting, and open venous reconstruction.

He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the American Venous Forum, and the Western Vascular Society. Dr. Lee’s Clinical interests include venous and lymphatic disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease.

Christian J. Ochoa, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery

Dr. Ochoa holds the title of Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy in the Department of Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of USC. He earned his MD from the Harvard Medical School in 2003. He completed an internship and residency in Surgery at the University of Southern California in 2009. He also completed his vascular surgery fellowship at USC in 2011.

He is a member of Society for Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the American Heart Association’s Council on Peripheral Vascular Disease, and is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Jose Perez, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery

Dr. Jose Perez is a general surgeon based in Glendale. His patients know him for his willingness to listen and his remarkable ability to make them feel like part of his family.

He performs surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. He has a special interest in all aspects of venous disease and its complications.

Dr. Perez’s leadership includes his appointment as Chair of the Surgery Division at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital and his longstanding embrace of innovative surgical technologies to better serve his patients. He is considered by his peers to be on the finest and most compassionate surgeons.

Kenneth R. Ziegler, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery

American Board of Surgery in General Surgery, board certified in Vascular Surgery

Dr. Ziegler received his Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Biochemistry, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He continued his medical education at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, earning his MD in 2007.

Dr. Ziegler then completed an internship, residency, and Chief Residency at Yale University in 2014. During this time, he also served two years in post-doctoral vascular surgery research fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Ziegler subsequently completed a two-year Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Ziegler is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and is board certified in Vascular Surgery. He is an Associate Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a candidate member of the Society for Vascular Surgery.
