Endovenous Laser
Procedure - The endovenous laser procedure is performed
right in the office. After local anesthesia is given to
a small area
on the leg, the tiny laser fiber is guided up into the
varicose vein. The laser is then turned on, and as it is
slowly withdrawn, the laser energy seals the vein shut.
VNUS Closure
Catheter Procedure - The skin on the inside of the
thigh is injected with xylocaine,
and then a thin radio frequency catheter is fed into the
vein. This highly sophisticated catheter then delivers
energy to the inside of the vein, and is slowly withdrawn.
The catheter has temperature sensors on it, which I monitor
during the procedure. This ensures that the vein is getting
the exact amount of heat to close the vein permanently.
UltaSound-Guided
Sclerotherapy - Sclerotherapy is a technique that involves
the injection of solution into varicose veins. This causes
the varicose veins
to shrivel and gradually disappear.
Microphlebectomy - The removal of medium varicose
veins through 1mm incisions, which heal with essentially
no scars.
Sclerotherapy for Spider and Reticular
veins - Sclerotherapy is a non surgical
treatment for Varicose Veins that involves injecting a
saline or detergent like-solution
into the vein, causing the lining of the vein wall to swell,
stick together and ultimately seal shut.
Sclerotherapy:
- May need to be performed multiple times to achieve the
desire results.
- Minimally invasive, does not require anesthesia and can
be performed in our office.
- Side effects may include mild stinging, bruising
and swelling of the skin that disappears within a few
days.
Sclerotherapy with foam and contact
laser -
Sclerotherapy with foam and contact laser can be accomplished
with our new Dornier D940 Laser System, this cutting
edge technology erase spider veins right before the patient's
eyes in a painless office procedure.
Venous Ulcer treatment -
Dr. Perez and Dr. Suh approaches each case individually.
